Georgia’s Media Outlets Go on Strike

On 14, dozens of Georgian television and online media outlets went on strike from 5 p.. 8 p.m. The decision was made in support of Mzia Amaghlobeli, the founder and director of the . She was arrested and remanded in custody earlier that day.

Another protest is planned for January 15 at 3 p.m., where businesses and enterprises across Georgia will join in. The strike comes as Georgia faces growing crisis and opposition to its government.
