**New Ambassador to the US**
The Serbian government has chosen Dragan Sutanovac, a former senior official of the opposition Democratic Party (DS), as the country‘s new ambassador to the United States.
Sutanovac was Defense Minister twice when the DS was in power. He is also the founder and president of the Council for Strategic Policy think tank.
This decision comes after Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said he would nominate an American ambassador before Donald Trump became President.
