**Thousands March Across Georgia**
On Wednesday, January 15, a massive protest took place across the country of Georgia. This was the largest strike in Georgian history.
The three-hour warning protest was meant to warn the ruling party that Georgia might become isolated if they don’t change their ways. Many workers from different sectors joined in, including banks, pharmacies, retail stores, restaurants, and telecommunications.
The protest started at 3 p.m. and ended at 6 p.m. During this time, protesters blocked a major street in front of the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue.
**Protesters Demand Change**
The protesters repeated their demands to the ruling party, Georgian Dream. They want the people arrested during protests to be released and for new elections to be held.
