Azerbaijani President Visits Georgia
Azerbaijan‘s president, Ilham Aliyev, met with the prime minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. The meeting took place after a parliamentary election in Georgia.
Aliyev congratulated the “Georgian Dream” party on their win. He said that planning his first visit to Azerbaijan after the elections shows how strong the relationship is between the two countries.
Aliyev and Kobakhidze discussed a project called the “Middle Corridor”. This project aims to connect Europe and Asia through transportation infrastructure. The president of Azerbaijan said that this project will be successful and will bring benefits to the people of both countries.
Aliyev also said that the success of the “Georgian Dream” party ensures stability in the region. He expressed his gratitude for Kobakhidze’s visit and wished him continued success in the future.
