Natia Mezvrishvili, a member of “Gakharia for Georgia”, has taken to social media to write about the actions of the ruling party, “Georgian Dream”. According to Mezvrishvili, the party is trying to shift the blame for potential Russian interference in the upcoming elections onto the West by accusing them of meddling through observers. This, she says, is a tactic to cover up their own involvement in creating a violent and unjust pre-election environment.
Mezvrishvili goes on to explain that the ruling party has combined the functions of the anti-corruption agency and the Central Election Commission (CEC) in order to spread misinformation and lies about alleged violations by foreigners, monitoring organizations, and the opposition. She believes that these claims are mostly baseless and have nothing to do with actual violations of the election code.
The member of “Gakharia for Georgia” also points out the clear role of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the CEC as instruments of the ruling party. She promises to continue exposing the lies of the “dream” in the remaining time before the elections.
It is evident that the ruling party is trying to discredit the West and the opposition in order to prepare the ground for non-recognition of the conclusions of monitoring organizations and the election results. Mezvrishvili urges the public to see through these tactics and not fall for the ruling party’s attempts to shift the blame onto others. She remains determined to expose the truth and ensure a fair and just election process.
