**More Charged Over Pro-Palestinian Rally in London**
Three more people have been charged after a pro-Palestinian protest in central London on Saturday. The protest was held to show support for Palestinians, just before a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas took effect.
The Metropolitan Police said there were attempts to break the rules of the rally, but this has been denied by organizers. Benjamin Jamal, 61, who is the director of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, which organized the protest, is accused of public order offenses. He will appear in court on Tuesday.
Jamila Zadran, 32, and Luke Jacobs, 22, have also been charged with assault and obstruction. Nine other people were charged over the weekend, and some high-profile figures, including former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, voluntarily attended police interviews.
**Police Conditions and Controversy**
The protest was initially blocked from marching through Portland Place, near the BBC headquarters, due to concerns about disrupting Jewish services on a holy day. Police had imposed conditions under the Public Order Act to prevent gatherings in certain areas.
Some participants claimed that they were allowed to pass through police lines, but others said they were forced through. Corbyn and fellow MP John McDonnell said they laid flowers as a peaceful tribute to children killed in Gaza, but did not force their way through.
**Charges Announced**
Announcing the latest charges on Monday, the Met Police said there was a “coordinated effort” to breach conditions imposed on the rally. Mr Jamal denied any wrongdoing and vowed to contest the charges against him.
