**Belgrade University Backs Protesting Students**
The Rector of Belgrade University, Vladan Djokic, said the university supports the protesting students. He spoke at a meeting with lawmakers on Tuesday.
Djokic said the student demands are justified and should be discussed. He offered to help figure out which demands have been met and which haven’t.
Lawmaker Ana Brnabic warned the students that they could lose their scholarships if they keep blocking classes. She also said the university might face financial problems. But Djokic disagreed, saying the student demands are more important.
The university has already made plans for when the blockades end. They will hold classes on weekends and during the summer to make up for lost time.
**Student Demands**
The students want answers about the deaths of 15 people at a railway station in November. They also want the government to do something about assaults on them while they were protesting.
