**US Cabinet Urged to Monitor Georgia’s Situation**
The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, recently met with US cabinet members in Washington. She expressed her concerns about the situation in Georgia and urged for urgent attention.
Zurabishvili met with almost all ministers of the new cabinet. She emphasized that Georgia is an important country for America due to its strategic location on the Black Sea and its history of receiving significant aid from the US. However, she pointed out that a dictatorship has been established in Georgia, which follows the Russian model and has friendly relations with China.
The President’s message was clear: attention to the current situation in Georgia is needed very soon. She warned that isolation is the direction of the current regime, aiming to keep Georgia alone in front of Russia and China. Zurabishvili asked partners for help to prevent this isolation from affecting Georgian society.
**Strategic Partnership Needed**
Zurabishvili emphasized the importance of returning to a strategic partnership with America. This would mean continuing the 30-year policy that has been in place. She noted that Armenia has also signed a strategic partnership, which shows that the Caucasus region remains crucial for the US.
**Election Plans**
Regarding her plans, Zurabishvili stated that the goal is to hold elections. This is everyone’s demand, and she is working on conditions for these elections. If the regime agrees to elections, it will have no other choice; otherwise, it will collapse on its own. The President emphasized that holding elections is primarily a duty of the parties, not her role as president.
