Russian Forces Strike Kharkiv with Drones
On January 25, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the city of Kharkiv. Local authorities reported that the strikes targeted several districts in the city.
The Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts were hit by drones. One strike caused a fire and resulted in civilian casualties and damaged cars. Water and electricity supplies have been disrupted in several areas of the city.
The damage and number of victims are still being determined. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that repeated strikes on the city are possible.
Kharkiv, located near the Russian border, has suffered many aerial attacks since Russia’s war began two years ago. The city’s densely populated neighborhoods have often been targeted by missiles and glide bombs.
