Finland’ Foreign Speaks Out on Situation

Finland’s Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, has spoken out against the in Georgia. She said that it is unacceptable for peaceful be targeted.

Valtonen made her comments before a meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels. She emphasized that true democracy requires , where the will of the people is respected.

The OSCE ( for Security and ) also weighed in on the situation. Last year, they published a report on Georgia’s elections and offered recommendations for holding new ones.

Valtonen spoke from her position as Chair of the OSCE. She said that violence against peaceful protesters is not acceptable in any society. She also emphasized the importance of holding elections where the true will of the people is taken into account.
