**Ukraine’s Zelensky Accuses Russia’s Putin of Prolonging War**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russian leader Vladimir Putin of deliberately extending the war and avoiding peace talks. This happened on January 28.
Zelensky said that Putin is afraid to negotiate and to deal with strong leaders. He believes that every move Putin makes is aimed at keeping the war going forever. “Today, Putin once again proved that he is afraid,” Zelensky said.
**Putin Refuses to Negotiate**
In response, Putin said on state TV that he considers Zelensky “illegitimate” and unable to sign any agreements in potential peace talks. He claimed that negotiations can be held with anyone else, but not with someone who is not legitimate. However, Ukrainian experts have dismissed this claim as baseless.
**Zelensky Urges World Leaders**
Zelensky emphasized on social media X that there is a real chance to achieve peace, but Putin is working against it. Instead of pursuing peace, Zelensky said that Putin is either continuing large-scale killings or preparing for another full-scale invasion using hybrid attacks.
**Global Pressure Needed**
Zelensky urged global leaders to learn from past mistakes. He believes that Putin may have the power to destroy, but lacks the courage and heart to withstand real pressure from strong leaders.
