**Employees at University of Novi Sad Support Student Demands**
A group of over 400 employees from the University of Novi Sad’s Faculty of Technical Sciences have shown their support for protesting students. They signed a document stating that they back the student demands.
The faculty leadership was asked to officially endorse this initiative, but it was rejected during a meeting on Wednesday.
**What Do the Students Want?**
The five demands put forward by the students are:
* Complete documentation about the reconstruction of Novi Sad’s main train station
* Those responsible for the collapsed canopy should be held accountable and face criminal charges. The canopy collapse killed 15 people and injured two others.
* Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and Novi Sad Mayor Milan Djuric should resign and face legal consequences.
* Those who attacked peaceful protesters, including high school and university students, should be prosecuted.
* Police officers who assaulted an elderly man should also face prosecution.
**Students Blockade Their Faculty**
Students at the FTN have been blocking their faculty since December 9. The academic council even supported their demands on December 12.
Interestingly, the dean of the faculty, Boris Dumnic, signed a statement supporting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and another politician ahead of the elections in 2023.
