Far-right Romanian politician Calin has made some alarming comments about Ukraine. In an interview published January 29, he called Ukraine a “fictional state” and said that its eventual partition is “inevitable”.

Georgescu suggested that Romania could claim some of Ukraine’s territories, including the regions of Northern Bukovina, Budjak, and Transcarpathia. He also implied that Poland would annex the city of Lviv.
