**Hamas Reveals Names of Hostages to Be Released**
The Palestinian armed group Hamas has announced that it will release three hostages on Saturday as part of a ceasefire agreement with Israel. The hostages are:
* Ofer Kalderon (53) from Israel
* Yarden Bibas (34) and his wife Shiri, who was also taken hostage along with their two sons, Kfir and Ariel
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed that they have received the list of names.
**Ceasefire Agreement**
This will be the fourth exchange of prisoners for hostages since the ceasefire took effect on January 19th. Under the agreement, Israel will release a batch of Palestinian prisoners in return for the release of these three hostages.
**Background**
Hamas took 251 hostages during an attack on Israel in October 2023, which led to a devastating war in Gaza. According to Hamas’s health ministry, Israel’s 15-month military offensive in Gaza killed over 47,000 Palestinians.
