Georgia’s President Calls for Release of Journalist
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has asked for help in freeing a journalist from prison. Mzia Amaghlobeli is on a hunger strike, which means she is not eating.
The president wants people to join her and the Georgian people in demanding that Amaghlobeli be released from prison. She also wants Georgia to be free from what she calls a “Russian one-party regime”.
A one-party regime is when one party has all the power and control. The president thinks this is unfair and wants people to work together to change it.
