**Missiles Hit Odesa, Ukraine**
Three explosions were reported in the city of Odesa on Friday evening. The strikes happened just hours after Ukraine’s Air Force warned of missile launches from the Black Sea.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacks are targeting civilian buildings and that air defense systems should be the first priority.
Videos and photos show damage to a five-star hotel, with one employee injured. Debris also fell near the city’s famous Opera House.
The attack caused significant damage in Odesa’s historic district, which is a UNESCO-protected site. The area has been hit before, with Russian missiles damaging over 20 architectural monuments in July 2023.
Odesa, with a population of around one million, has been targeted by Russia several times during the full-scale war.
