**Ukraine Keeps High Gas Imports from EU**
Despite Russian missile attacks on its gas facilities, Ukraine continued to import large amounts of gas from the European Union. According to a Reuters report, Ukraine imported 16.3 million cubic meters of gas on Sunday.
**Gas Came from Neighboring Countries**
The gas came from Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. This is significant because earlier in the week, Ukraine’s Energy Ministry warned that Russian strikes had severely impacted Ukraine’s domestic gas production capacity.
**Impact on Domestic Production**
Ukraine’s Energy Minister said that Russia‘s attacks had made it difficult for Ukraine to produce its own gas. He estimated that Ukraine would need to import 1 billion cubic meters of gas by the end of the year.
