**Attack on Lasha Gabitashvili Linked to Threat**
A leading politician has linked a brutal attack on a Georgian citizen to a threat made in Abu Dhabi. Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy of the Builder, says the attack was an attempt to intimidate citizens.
Gabitashvili received a threat while abroad that he would be punished upon his return to Georgia. The politician believes this threat led to the attack on Gabitashvili by masked individuals.
**Government Accused of Using Violence**
Vashadze accused the government of using violence to suppress protest in the country. He said the recent 76-day continuous protest showed that these actions were not working.
The politician also stated that the government’s actions would not break Gabitashvili or reduce the protest. “This weak action will neither break Lasha nor reduce the protest!” Vashadze said.
**Gabitashvili Injured in Attack**
Lasha Gabitashvili, who was physically confronted by Georgian Dream MPs earlier, claims he was attacked on the street today. He posted a video on Facebook showing injuries to his face.
