According to local officials, the death toll from the Russian attack on Kharkiv on September 24 has now reached four. This comes after rescue workers found the body of a woman in the debris of a building in the Kyivskyi district.
The attack, which involved Russian forces dropping an FAB-500 bomb with UMPK, targeted a residential building in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the body of a woman was found under the rubble of a nine-story building.
Both Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, have confirmed the increase in casualties. This attack is just one of many that Russia has been carrying out on Kharkiv, Ukraine‘s second-largest city, as part of their ongoing war against Ukraine.
Earlier reports stated that eight FAB-500 bombs were dropped on residential areas in both the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts. As a result, 36 people were injured and 12 remain hospitalized, with four in critical condition.
These attacks have been happening almost daily and often target civilian areas and infrastructure, causing harm to innocent people. It is a tragic and ongoing situation that needs to be addressed.
