**Judge Rejects Request to Change Preventive Measure**
A judge in the Batumi City Court has refused to change a preventive measure for Mzia Amaglobeli, founder of “Batumelebi“. This decision was made by Judge Levan Qolbaia and was reported by the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA).
**Appeal Planned**
The lawyers of Mzia Amaglobeli plan to appeal this decision to a higher court. According to GYLA, they believe that the judge’s ruling is unjustified. They stated, “This is yet another unlawful and unjustified decision by the court against Mzia Amaglobeli. There is no basis that justifies her imprisonment.”
**Background**
Mzia Amaglobeli was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer. She slapped the head of Batumi police, Irakli Dgebuadze. Since her arrest, she has been on hunger strike for 34 days. Her lawyers requested that her preventive measure be changed on February 13.
