**US, French and British Leaders to Meet in Washington**
French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit Washington next week. They will meet with US President Donald Trump.
The three leaders will discuss how to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. A US official said that recent talks with Russian officials were a “positive step”. He also mentioned ongoing discussions in Kyiv and at a security conference in Munich.
**European Leaders Urged to Act**
A US official called on European nations to do more to help keep Ukraine safe. This is something they have been asked to do for years, he said.
**Ukraine’s President Thanks Macron and Starmer**
Before their trip, the leaders spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He thanked them for their support. Zelensky said that Europe needs a lasting peace, which can only be achieved with strong security guarantees.
**Macron and Starmer’s Support for Ukraine**
Zelensky also highlighted the importance of Macron and Starmer’s role in strengthening European security. He thanked them for their continued support.
