**Georgian Citizens Detained on Terror Charges**
Two Georgian citizens have been detained by the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG). The agency made the announcement on February 20.
Special operations were carried out across the country at the same time. The SSG said they found evidence in the detainees’ homes, including ammunition, electronic devices, cash, and other items that are important to the investigation.
The authorities also found clues that suggest a possible link to an international terrorist organization. An investigation has been launched under Article 328 of the Georgian Criminal Code. This article makes it illegal to join a foreign terrorist group or help them with their activities.
The Counterterrorism Center of the SSG is leading the investigation. No more details have been made public at this time.
