“Giorgi Amilakhvari Resigns from Government After 4 Years of Continuous Work”

Giorgi Amilakhvari, the former Minister of Education, , and Youth of Georgia, has announced his plans to return to the after leaving his post. He this announcement during briefing, where he stated that he had requested the Prime Minister, , and other team to allow him to step back after four years of continuous public service.

Amilakhvari joined the parliamentary team of ‘Georgian Dream’ in 2020 and has since dedicated himself to serving the country and advancing Georgian education, both in Parliament and as Minister. After four years of hard work, he asked the opportunity to return to the private sector and continue supporting the team from there.

He highlighted his successful background in the education business before entering politics and expressed pride in the achievements made during his time in office. He also thanked Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, his team, and Bidzina Ivanishvili for their trust and throughout his service.

Amilakhvari was appointed as Minister of Education, Science, and Youth March 20, , replacing Mikheil Chkhenkeli, and had been serving in this role until his resignation.
