Russian Troops Attack Kostiantynivka
On February 22, Russian troops launched airstrikes against the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast. At least two civilians were killed and four others were injured.
Governor Vadym Filashkin reported that many people may still be trapped under the rubble. Rescue efforts are ongoing to help those affected by the attack.
The airstrikes damaged many buildings, including 10 apartment buildings, 21 private houses, and several industrial facilities. A store, garages, power lines, gas pipelines, and vehicles were also damaged.
This is not the first time that settlements in Donetsk Oblast have been attacked by Russian forces. The area has faced daily attacks over the past few days.
In recent days, two people were killed and 11 others were injured in Kostiantynivka and another village. Efforts to evacuate civilians from front-line towns have intensified as Russian forces continue to advance in eastern Ukraine.
