**Serbian Prosecutors Investigate NGOs**
A new investigation has started in Serbia. The country’s anti-corruption prosecutors are looking into possible misuse of money from the US government.
The prosecutors want information about two non–governmental organizations (NGOs). They also want to know if the money was used correctly by these groups.
**USAID Funds Under Investigation**
The prosecutor’s office is contacting the US Justice Department for help. The US funds, called USAID, are being looked at because of suspicions that they were not spent properly.
Some important people in the US have already spoken about their concerns with the USAID funding. These include President Donald Trump and other government officials like Elon Musk.
**Investigation into NGOs**
Four NGOs in Serbia are currently under investigation. The prosecutor’s office is looking for information to see if crimes were committed.
The police have been told to gather evidence from banks and other financial institutions. They also want to know more about the money that was sent to these NGOs.
