During his address at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres expressed concern over the current state of the world, stating that impunity, inequality, and uncertainty are leading to an unsustainable future. He warned that an increasing number of countries are adopting a “get out of jail free” mentality, which could have damaging consequences. Philemon Yang, President of the General Assembly, also addressed these issues during the session.
