**Anna Yakutenko: A Leader in Ukrainian Journalism**
Anna Yakutenko is a key figure at the Kyiv Independent, a Ukrainian online news outlet. She started her career as a print journalist at the Kyiv Post in 2015.
**From Print to Video**
In 2018, Anna switched to video journalism and launched a video department at the Kyiv Post. Two years later, she moved to the Kyiv Independent and became its Head of Video from 2022-2023. Today, she serves as production manager.
**International Experience**
Anna has spent time working with newsrooms in the US through the Alfred Friendly Press Partners fellowship program in 2018. This experience helped her gain a deeper understanding of global journalism practices.
**Education**
Anna holds a degree in Journalism from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, one of Ukraine’s top universities for media studies.
