**Novi Sad Marks Four Months Since Railway Station Accident**
Citizens of Novi Sad gathered on Saturday at around 11 a.m. near the railway station in their city. This is where, four months ago, 15 people lost their lives after a canopy collapsed on them.
This tragedy was the reason for mass demonstrations and student blockades throughout Serbia. But now, there’s a different atmosphere in Novi Sad compared to Nis, where students held a protest on Saturday.
On Saturday, flowers were laid, candles were lit, and the citizens held a 15-minute silence for the victims. The day was sunny, which is lucky because if it had been raining, even more people might have been under the canopy.
**Remembering the Victims**
The accident happened on November 1, 2024, at exactly 11:52. Hundreds of tons of concrete fell on 17 people. Sadly, 14 people died on the spot, and another victim passed away later. Two young people, Teodora and Vukasin, are still being treated for injuries.
