**Russian Attack on Kharkiv Injures 8**
On March 2, Russia launched a drone strike on the city of Kharkiv. The attack injured eight people, according to Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
Terekhov reported that among those hurt was a seven-year-old child. Three houses were damaged in the strike, and around 150 windows were shattered. A fire also broke out in a high-rise building but was quickly put out by emergency services and volunteers.
Kharkiv Oblast is located in Ukraine’s northeast and has been targeted by Russian attacks before. The city is just over 30 miles from the Russian border, making it vulnerable to missile, drone, and glide bomb strikes.
The incident highlights the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
