**Anti-Corruption Crackdown in Leskovac**
Six people have been arrested in the city of Leskovac, Serbia. They are suspected of money laundering and abuse of official position.
The arrests were made as part of an ongoing anti-corruption operation led by the Higher Public Prosecutor‘s Office in Nis.
**Those Arrested**
* A 52-year-old former assistant to the Mayor of Leskovac
* A 50-year-old head of the Bojisina Local Community Council and owner of a business called Dosta Spasic
* Three heads of local community councils: one from Grdelica Village (61), another from Dobrotin (34), and a third from Zaguzane (64)
* The head of the Mala Grabovnica Local Community Council, a 55-year-old man
**Next Steps**
The suspects will be brought before the relevant prosecutor’s office to face criminal charges. This is part of an ongoing effort by the Internal Affairs Ministry, Criminal Police Administration, and Department for the Fight Against Corruption to combat corruption in Serbia.
