**Kosovo’s Constitutional Court Admitted to European Conference**
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has become a member of the European Conference of Constitutional Courts (CECC). This was confirmed by French Ambassador Olivier Guerot on social media.
Guerot congratulated the court and said this achievement shows its commitment to the rule of law and European values. The court officially became an associate member at a meeting in Tirana, Kosovo.
**Long Road to Membership**
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo applied for membership in 2011. However, Serbia has opposed its admission for many years. In May 2024, the court’s application was rejected because it did not get enough votes from attending members.
**Serbian Delegation Attended Meeting**
A Serbian delegation attended the meeting in Tirana where the Constitutional Court of Kosovo was admitted to CECC. The president of the Constitutional Court of Serbia led the delegation.
