**Russian Deliveries to Czech Republic Halted**

**Czech Republic Plans to Stop Russian Oil Imports**

In January, Petr Fiala announced that Prague plans to completely stop importing Russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline. Instead, they will rely on the Transalpine Pipeline, which has been modernized to boost supply volumes.

**European Union Imposed Embargo**

The European Union imposed embargo on Russian oil and oil products in 2023. The southern branch of Druzhba was temporarily exempted from this embargo but will lose its exemption in June 2025.
