Early on Monday, Israel launched an attack on an apartment building in central Beirut, which is the first time they have targeted the heart of the city in almost a year of ongoing conflict with Hezbollah. In addition to this strike, Israel also hit other locations throughout Lebanon, causing significant damage to Hezbollah’s leadership, including the death of their leader, Hassan Nasrallah. In a separate incident, a mobile shop in the southern port city of Sidon was damaged, possibly due to an explosion from walkie-talkies. Rescue teams and firefighters were on the scene to search for victims.
