Russian bomb injures 8 in Kharkiv apartment building strike

On the night of October 2, Russia launched a KAB guided bomb attack on Kharkiv, hitting a residential building and injuring at least 10 people, including a child, according to . Two landed in a suburban while the other three hit Kharkiv. One of the bombs hit the apartment building in the Saltivka district, while the other two fell in an open area in the district.

President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the bombing on his official channel, sharing a video of the damaged building and calling on world leaders to help prevent such attacks. He emphasized the need for Ukraine to receive sufficient assistance from the international community to put an end to these Russian strikes.

Kharkiv has been under constant attack from Russia for over two years since the country’s invasion of Ukraine in February . In recent months, there has been an increase in strikes on densely-populated areas of the city.
