**France Gives Ukraine $211 Million in Military Aid**
France will give Ukraine 195 million euros ($211 million) to help the country’s military. This money comes from interest earned on Russian assets that are frozen.
The French Defense Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, said this aid will help deliver important weapons and equipment to Ukraine. These include shells for big guns and bombs that can be dropped from planes.
**France Speeds Up Delivery of Military Equipment**
Lecornu also announced that France is sending older military equipment like tanks and armored vehicles to Ukraine more quickly.
**Other Countries Are Helping Too**
The United Kingdom recently signed an agreement with Ukraine to give the country a loan worth 2.26 billion pounds ($2.84 billion). This money will be used to buy defense equipment that Ukraine needs.
In total, Western countries have frozen $300 billion in Russian assets. They can only use the income from these assets, which is about $3.2 billion per year. This income will be used to give Ukraine a loan of almost $50 billion.
**France and UK Are Working Together**
France and the United Kingdom are taking steps to provide leadership on supporting Ukraine. Other European countries are also joining this effort.
