Macron wanted to get inside information on how Trump thinks about Russia and Ukraine. This is similar to his previous meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Unfortunately, the conclusions are grim – for Ukraine, France, and Europe as a whole.
**A Trump-Putin Pact**
The EU and France understand that a pact between Trump and Putin is not just likely but almost inevitable. No one can stop Trump and the US from working closely with Russia, especially when it comes to business.
**Marx’s Warning**
This situation reminds us of Marx’s warning: “At 100% profit, capital disregards all human laws; at 300%, there is no crime it would not risk.” Today, this means that Trump will do whatever it takes for business with Putin, even if it hurts Ukraine and Europe.
**A Common Goal**
Trump wants to work closely with Putin on two main things: business projects and a system of power. This includes dividing people in the US and using imperialism abroad.
**Ukraine as a Resource**
The so-called plan to “settle the Ukrainian question” is actually about Russia and the US working together to control Ukraine’s resources. Ukraine is seen just as a territory with assets, not as an ally or partner.
**A Pilot Project**
This deal between Trump and Putin will soon be applied to other countries in Europe and beyond.
**The Last Car on the Train**
Macron and UK Labour leader Keir Starmer are trying to join this partnership to stay relevant. They want to offer their own contribution: European peacekeepers in Ukraine, working with US forces. But this is not about helping Ukraine – it’s just a way for them to stay on board.
**The Condominium**
Trump and Putin have agreed on a condominium, where they will work together to control Ukraine’s resources. They call themselves “guarantor states” of peace.
**Don’t Be Fooled**
