US billionaire Elon Musk has assured that Starlink terminals will not be shut down in Ukraine. This announcement comes as European had expressed concern that Starlink might cut off Ukraine’s access to its vital internet service.

In a post his platform X, Musk said, “To be extremely clear, no matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals.” He emphasized that cutting off internet access would collapse the Ukrainian front line and make it easier for Russia to advance.

Polish Minister Radoslaw Sikorski had expressed concerns about relying on SpaceX, the company behind Starlink. However, Musk shot back, saying that Poland should be thankful for the assistance provided by Starlink. “You pay a tiny fraction of the cost,” he added.

Sikorski had mentioned that Poland provides half of Ukraine’s 42,000 Starlink terminals at a cost of about $50 million per year.
