Minister Nikola Selakovic was not physically hurt, as many people claimed. In fact, he was only verbally attacked, according to a daily newspaper called Danas.
A court decision that has been seen by Danas shows that the person who was arrested – M.T. – committed a crime by threatening Minister Selakovic with words. This happened on March 7 at around 9:35 p.m. in Belgrade, near Gruzanska and Vojislava Ilica streets.
The court ordered M.T.’s detention because there’s a risk that he might commit another crime or influence witnesses who saw what happened.
However, President Aleksandar Vucic wrote on social media that Minister Selakovic had been physically attacked. The minister himself also said that someone hit him in the head, but it seems that this was just a verbal argument and not a physical attack after all.
