Police personnel in Manila blocked activists from marching near the U.S. Embassy on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The activists were holding a protest to mark the first-year anniversary of the war in Gaza. The Italian Police also patrolled the streets of Rome on the same day, as pro-Palestinian individuals took part in an unauthorized march in the city center. This march was organized two days before the first anniversary of the Oct. 7. People stood in solidarity during the protest in Rome, showing their support for the Palestinian cause.
