**Estonia’s FM on Georgia: “We Stand with You”**

**Interview with Estonia’s Foreign Minister**
We spoke to Margus Tsahkna, Estonia’s Foreign Minister, about the situation in Georgia. Estonia has been a strong supporter of Georgia’s EU integration. However, due to the current government’s actions, tensions between the two countries have increased.
**Estonia Condemns Repression**
Tsahkna said that Estonia condemns the ongoing repression and imposed new sanctions on the Georgian government. He believes that it is essential to support civil society, free media, and Ukraine.
**No Deal with Putin**
When asked if a deal with Russia was an option for Estonia, Tsahkna was clear: “What is at stake are dignity, values, and the future of democracy.” He said that any deal with Russia would weaken Estonia’s security and pose a direct threat to the country.
**Supporting Georgia**
Tsahkna expressed support for the Georgian people, saying that Estonia stands with them because it knows that the majority of Georgians support EU integration. He also mentioned that Estonia has fought against authoritarian systems and understands the struggles of the Georgian people.
**Businesses and Investments**
Due to the current situation, bilateral diplomatic ties between Estonia and Georgia are at a low point. This has affected tourism, investments, and businesses. However, Tsahkna said that Georgia is still a popular destination for tourists because it is close to Estonians‘ hearts.
