**Ukrainian Troops Repel Russian Attack**
Russian special forces used a gas pipeline to gain access to the outskirts of Sudzha in Russia‘s Kursk Oblast. Ukrainian airborne assault troops spotted the Russian forces and launched a counterattack using missiles, artillery, and drones.
The Ukrainian military reported that Russian forces suffered heavy losses in the area. However, it is unclear if these claims can be verified.
**Russia Launches Multiple Strikes**
Russian forces have been launching multiple strikes on various locations in Ukraine. On March 7, they attacked Dobropillia, damaging at least four apartment buildings. A large fire also erupted at a critical infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia Oblast following a Russian drone attack.
**Ukraine’s Military Situation**
The Ukrainian military described the situation as “difficult” but under control. However, Russian troops have regained control of about 64% of the territory in Kursk Oblast after six months of fighting.
**International Support for Ukraine**
Several countries are providing support to Ukraine. France will provide $211 million in military aid using frozen Russian assets. Sweden will also provide over $2 million to support Ukrainian women. The United States has notified its allies that it does not plan to participate in military exercises held in Europe beyond those already scheduled.
**Russian Military Operations**
Ukrainian forces downed 73 out of the 119 drones launched by Russia overnight, including Shahed-type attack drones. The Russian military also launched multiple strikes on various locations in Ukraine.
