**Parliament to Get New Powers**
The ruling team wants to change the rules of the Parliament. This will affect a special group that investigates the government‘s actions from 2012 to 2017.
According to new proposals, this investigative group can ask for an investigation into possible crimes at any point in time. If they have good reason to believe that a crime has been committed, they can ask the relevant authorities to start an investigation.
The group will also be able to get answers from people who want to give them important information. They can do this by asking one of their own members to speak with these people.
Another change is that the investigative group can meet on days when the full Parliament is in session, but not during those sessions themselves.
These proposals were made by six MPs: Shalva Papuashvili, Davit Matikashvili, Giorgi Kakhiani, Irakli Shatakishvili, Greta Tsitsava, and Guram Macharashvili.
