**Russia May Agree to Ceasefire, But Peace is Far From Guaranteed**
A political scientist has said that Russia may agree to a 30-day ceasefire with Ukraine. However, this does not mean peace will prevail during this time.
Paata Zakareishvili made these comments in an interview with “PalitraNews”. He believes that Russia will use this 30-day period to demand that the United States persuade Ukraine to give up territories in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
This proposal for a ceasefire was actually developed in Europe, according to Zakareishvili. The Trump administration had no readiness to address how to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Zakareishvili noted that the formula for peace in Ukraine was developed after a scandal in the White House. This new joint proposal from Britain and France calls for a ceasefire in the air and at sea, at least for now.
He believes that the Trump administration has no creativity and is not ready to address how to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Zakareishvili added that Russia’s attitude toward peace will be revealed during this 30-day period.
