**Belarusian Opposition Leader Urges Georgians to Fight On**
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the leader of the Belarusian opposition, has a message for Georgians: don’t give up. She spoke with InterpressNews in Brussels.
According to her, Georgia should not become like Belarus under authoritarian rule. “Georgia was a great example for us,” she said. “You wanted to join European countries, but now you’re facing tough times.” Tikhanovskaya urged Georgians to stand firm and fight for their values and principles.
Tikhanovskaya also praised Georgians as an inspiration to the Belarusian people. She noted that both countries are fighting against similar challenges: repression and authoritarian rule. “We stand with you,” she said, but warned that dictators can learn from each other quickly.
To avoid becoming like Belarus during Stalin‘s time, Tikhanovskaya urged Georgians to stay united and keep fighting for democracy.
