New to Ukraine Formed

Leaders from several countries are working together to create new coalition that will provide support to Ukraine. This group, called the “coalition of the willing,” aims to send troops or other help to Kyiv.

The idea was first presented by the Prime Minister in London on March 2. Later, from Australia, Japan, and New Zealand joined a meeting in to expand the coalition’s beyond and NATO.

However, the US is not part of this new group. The Trump has taken a tough stance against Ukraine and , but wants to improve relations with Russia.

The coalition plans to create a “reassurance force” to protect Ukraine. Members who don’t want to send troops directly to Ukraine can instead send soldiers or supplies to neighboring countries. This way, they can still contribute to the effort without putting their own people at risk.

More details about the plan will be discussed in a meeting this weekend.

Russia has said it won’t accept NATO peacekeepers in Ukraine as part of a peace deal. The country also hasn’t agreed to a 30-day ceasefire that was proposed by the US and Ukraine.
