**Ukrainian Drones Attack Russia’s Kaluga Oblast**
On March 12, Ukrainian military intelligence drones attacked a drone production facility in the village of Obukhovo, Kaluga Oblast. The facility was located on the grounds of an aerated concrete plant in the Dzerzhinsky district.
The attack is part of Ukraine‘s strategy to undermine Russia’s ability to wage war. Kyiv has carried out regular long-range drone strikes against military and industrial facilities in Russia’s rear.
**Damage and Injuries**
One employee suffered minor injuries, and a fire broke out at the plant after drone wreckage hit an unspecified industrial facility in Dzerzhinsky district. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Locals reported powerful explosions and a fire on social media. Drone debris damaged a cell tower and a power line in the Khvastovichsky district, the southernmost part of Kaluga Oblast.
**Russian Air Defenses Respond**
Russian air defenses downed 77 drones overnight, including 30 over Bryansk Oblast, six over Kursk and Voronezh oblasts each, and five over Rostov and Belgorod oblasts each. An unspecified infrastructure facility was also damaged in Voronezh Oblast.
Airports in Penza, Saratov, and Volgograd imposed temporary flight restrictions overnight, according to Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency.
