**Serbian President Warned to Keep Protesters Safe**
A group of Western embassies has asked Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the government to make sure everyone attending a protest in Belgrade on March 15 is safe. The protest is planned for next week.
According to sources, embassy representatives told the Serbian government that it’s their responsibility to protect people who attend the protest. They said it’s very important for the demonstration to happen without any violence or conflicts.
The ambassadors also acknowledged that tensions have been rising in society over the past few days. However, they emphasized the importance of peaceful expression of opinions and political views from all sides.
The Serbian government has been saying that clashes are expected on the streets of Belgrade on March 15. They claim that protesters might attack police and try to take control of the parliament building. But student protests held so far have not involved any violence. The organizers have also said repeatedly that they do not want conflict and will behave with dignity.
