**Serbian Church Patriarch Leads Prayer for Peace**
A special prayer service was held at the St Sava Temple in Belgrade on Thursday. The service, led by Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Porfirije, is aimed at bringing peace and unity to the country.
**Prayer for Unity**
The Belgrade-Karlovac Archbishopric invited people to attend the service at 5:30 pm. In a statement, they said they wanted to pray for an end to divisions among Serbians, brotherly understanding, and peace in their community.
**Traditional Prayer Service**
An Akathist service is a traditional Orthodox Christian prayer dedicated to the Virgin Mary and saints. It includes devotional hymns that are sung during the service. In this case, Patriarch Porfirije led the Akathist service at St Sava Temple.
**Services Held Across Churches**
The SPC statement said that the Akathist service will be held in all churches across the Belgrade-Karlovac Archbishopric after evening services. This is an effort to spread peace and unity throughout the country.
