Latvian Prime Minister Speaks Out on Georgia
The Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Siliņa, spoke in Brussels about the situation in Georgia. She expressed hope that the Georgian people would defend their rights and democratic values.
Siliņa said she was not aware if Georgia would be discussed during the European Union’s two-day summit. However, she encouraged Georgians to stand up for their freedom and democracy. Latvia understands how difficult it can be to fight for one’s rights, she added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address EU leaders remotely during the summit. Other topics on the agenda include migration issues and events in the Middle East.
