**US to Hold Talks with Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia**
The US will hold indirect talks between Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia. This was announced by Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg on March 20.
**Shuttle Diplomacy**
The talks will involve a type of diplomacy called “shuttle diplomacy”. This means that Russian and Ukrainian representatives will be present in separate rooms, but US officials will go back and forth between them to hear their terms. The goal is to understand each side’s conditions and find a way to end the war.
**Meetings Scheduled**
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has confirmed that a contact group from his country will meet with US representatives this week to discuss a temporary ceasefire. Separate negotiations between the US and Russia are scheduled for March 24, followed by US-Ukraine talks on the same day.
**Russian Representatives Named**
The Russian officials who will take part in the talks have been named: Grigory Karasin, chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, and Sergei Beseda, an adviser to the director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).
